Easy to grow, fragrant annual.
You will receive 3 individual packets of seeds one for each variety listed:
- Cherry Caramel (40 seeds) - Unique butterscotch caramel color with cherry pink centers. Popular antique looking cut flower with floral designers and gardeners alike. Plant height 16"-20" Spacing 6"-9" (tighter spacing helps elongate stems but can lead to lack of airflow)
- Grandiflora mix (40 seeds) - Includes seeds harvested from both the 'Tapestry' and the 'Stars and Stripes' series. Colors range from pure white to cream, pink, rose, magenta, red, lavender-mauve, buff, buttercup, purple, blue and maroon. Plant height 18"-22" Spacing 6"-9" (tighter spacing helps elongate stems but can lead to lack of airflow)
- Blushing Bride (40 seeds) - Lovely color shifting blooms age from white to light red. As they mature they darken making it possible to have an array of tones on one branch. Plant height 15"-24" Spacing 6"-9" (tighter spacing helps elongate stems but can lead to lack of airflow)
Phlox can create large swaths of amazing and unique color! Excellent along walkways, boarders, planting en mass and in containers. An excellent cut flower for bouquets!
Blooms June to October in most regions. Will self seed readily if allowed to. May hybridize and create future years interesting color combinations.
To grow sow outdoors (recommended method) February-April in well draining soil at about 1/8"-1/4" fine soil. Darkness is required for germination. Keep moist until germination. They will sprout as the soil warms slightly. Can be started started indoors up to 4-6 weeks beforehand. However keep in mind these plants do not like root disturbances. Darkness required. Seed depth up to 1/4". Always harden off plants before transplanting into their location outdoors. Germination requires soil temperatures of 60° approx 7-10 days under optimal conditions.
