These distinctly different blooms are tall, up to 3"+ mahogany-black cones surrounded by stiff green sepals.

Wildly popular with the bees and butterflies. Long bloom period and exceptional winter interest in the garden. Great cut flower for arrangements bothered fresh and dried.

Plant height 32"-36" Spacing 12"-18"

Sow seed directly outdoors a couple weeks before your regions last frost date. Can be started indoors in advance up to 5 weeks before desired transplanting. Seed may benefit from stratification prior to planting. Average time to germinate 7-30 days
